An action that generates a thousand changes: Graduates of the INTEC carry out walk pro-funds scholarships
Santo Domingo. El Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo INTEC, through its Association of Graduates (ADE-INTEC) invites all its employees, graduates, students, professors, friends and the general public to be part of the 2013 Foot Steps Walk, which will take place this Sunday 14 of April, at the National Botanical Garden facilities.
The event is held for the second year in a row to benefit the INTEC Program with Outstanding Students (PIES), a pioneer in granting scholarships to the best students in the country, so that they can pursue their university studies at INTEC. Since its inception 25 years ago, the PIES recognizes academic excellence in the Dominican Republic and has since sponsored the young 1,433 careers.
With the slogan "An action that generates a thousand changes", Steps Per Feet invites graduates and the general public to be part of the hive and assume a culture of donation within the framework of a family activity between peers, old friends, teachers and anyone who wishes to make a donation.
"The PIES is the social responsibility program of the INTEC and the example of continuous commitment to academic excellence but now we open an opportunity to donate directly to a person's higher education, which has a positive impact on their future quality of life and that of his family, "said Julio Molina, president of the Association of Graduates of INTEC (ADE). Currently, 13 companies sponsor scholarships under the program.
The contribution for those interested in supporting the event is the purchase of an entry kit, at a cost of RD $ 400.00 (including a shirt and a bracelet). The points of sale are established in the INTEC facilities.
