Accreditation is an objective process of peer review, designed to attest to the quality of educational programs under development. In medicine, it is a certification of the capacity and competencies that medical education programs have in providing comprehensive training, which guarantees patient safety and the exercise of competent doctors at a global level.
In the view of the training of doctors with the best national and international standards, and in compliance with the strategic mission of INTEC to train capable, integrity and internationally competitive citizens, who contribute to the sustainable development of society through science and technology.
The medicine career of INTEC initiates in 2015 its process of international accreditation with the Caribbean accreditation authority for education in medicine and other health professions (CAAM-HP), accreditation body for schools of medicine, veterinary and dentistry in the 15 countries members of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM), recognized by world federation for medical education (WFME).Obtaining CAAM-HP accreditation involved a demanding review process that evaluated every facet of INTEC's medical program. Whose compliance with the evaluated requirements and standards allowed us to successfully receive the great honor of being the first university in the country and the first Spanish-speaking university in the Caribbean to receive it. This accreditation is exclusive to medical schools that meet or exceed the highest industry standards.

This gives us a tremendous tranquility, but this does not mean that we already obtained the accreditation and that already concludes the process, now we have to maintain that accreditation and to keep it we must try to improve constantly and to solve everything that can and should Fix, so this is a job that started a long time ago, but still continued.
