Rector of INTEC elected to the Executive Committee of the Compostela Group of Universities

SANTO DOMINGO. He rector of Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo (INTEC), Julio Sanchez Marinez, was selected to be part of the Executive committee of the Compostela Group of Universities, during the twenty-ninth General Assembly of the organization, held last September in Seville, Spain.

The Compostela Group of Universities (GCU) is a network of universities created with the objective of facilitating and promoting cooperation between universities and interested parties in Higher Education. It brings together institutions from Brazil, Panama, Spain, Germany, France, Hungary, Mexico, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Switzerland, Peru, El Salvador, among others.

The academic assembly members representing the more than 60 member universities valued the experience and successes of the Erasmus+ programs developed by INTEC for the benefit of its teachers and administrative staff.

Last April, the rector of INTEC was also selected as a member of the plenary session of the Advisory Council of the Agency for the Quality of the Galician University System (ACSUG), the body responsible for analyzing the activities of the accreditor and proposing actions that affect its continuous improvement. Sánchez Maríñez is the ninth rector of INTEC and assumed the position in February 2021.
