2.0 Recruitment at the INTEC 2012 Talent Fair


Santo Domingo.- During Thursday 13 and Friday 14 in September, the Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo INTEC will hold its fifth Talent Fair, a meeting place where graduates, professionals and interested parties will be able to submit their curricula and learn about employment, professional development and new business creation opportunities.

As a novelty, graduates and final students of INTEC, will have the online platform "INTEC seeks employment" through www.intec.edu.do where they can upload their curriculum to be considered by the companies and they can view the profile of the candidates before the fair to advance the pre-selection.

Those interested can visit the campus Thursday and Friday, 9: 00 am to 9: 00 pm for the personal processing of their resumes and fill out application forms for jobs at the stands.

Among the participating companies are Scotia Bank, Banco Popular, AFP Reservas, Popular AFP, AFP Siembra, Mallén Group, Metaldom, Stream Global Services, Yobel SCM, Vixicom, Eaton, BDO, HACER Dominicana, AFP Scotia Bank Crecer, Exxon Mobil, Barrik Gold Blue Currier Express, Martí Group, VIP Personel, Pinturas Tropical, People Approach, National Association of Savings and Loans, Promotes, among others.

The 2.0 recruitment is a growing trend both in hiring personnel and placing jobs that is supported by the web and social networks and this year is the theme of the keynote conference of the Talent Fair, to be held on Thursday 13 a the 6: 00 pm at the Osvaldo García de la Concha Auditorium.

"Companies have understood very well that every time we make more life in the network, and that social networks have become the main online activity in the world. Therefore, they have to be there wherever the talent is ", explains Alberto Blanco, consultant of People Approach, who will speak on" Recruitment 2.0 ".

For employers, the main benefits of 2.0 recruitment are that they can access a global bank of candidates, find talent anticipating the need, and be able to identify candidates related to their motivations and interests in a more effective way than through a resume.

With this initiative INTEC promotes communication between the main companies in the country and young professionals to promote quality employment and, at the same time, present the opportunities and support mechanisms for entrepreneurship available in the Dominican Republic.
