Kick Off INTEC Emprende 2024: participants begin training modules


SANTO DOMINGO.- The Directorate of Entrepreneurship and Innovation of the Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo (DEI INTEC) began a new edition of INTEC Emprende, its pre-incubation program that seeks to train potential entrepreneurs during the exploration, development and validation of their business ideas.

The program that began last Tuesday, March 6, focuses on three main lines of action: promotion of entrepreneurial culture, training in entrepreneurship and innovation, and experimentation and development through the pre-incubation process.

Successful projects like Kikaboni, Our Flavor, Botcity y Hive They originated in INTEC Emprende, which was previously called Brilliant Ideas.

During the welcome meeting, also known as “kick off”, the 23 participants of the 2024 program were received. Manuel Pérez, participant of the program and collaborator of INTEC, He assured that during the kick off he was able to learn more about the program and increase his interest in participating. "My expectations are to be able to develop my business idea with the support of the entrepreneurship team through the training that we will be receiving at INTEC Emprende and to be able to boost my business to a new level of growth,” he said.

Rosaura Pimentel He stated that “since the beginning of the program I feel that I am in the best place to develop my business idea. The program is very well structured and has expert professionals for each phase of the venture. “I am convinced that my proposal will be visible to potential investors, with the effort required on my part and the excellence that characterizes INTEC.”

INTEC Emprende consists of 62 hours of intensive training in 8 modules corresponding to different areas of knowledge and 18 hours of complementary mentoring. The training addresses the topics of entrepreneurship, creativity, innovation, design thinking, business model, customer development, business plan, elevator pitch, in addition to extracurricular talks such as distinctive signs and formalization of MSMEs, led by experts and professionals in The matter.

Among the teachers in this year's program are Ingrid González, specialist in Administration, Marketing and Business; Cristhian Cohén, Director of Marketing and Promotion; Alexeis Fernández, expert in Industrial Property; Omar Guerra, expert in Industrial Design; Rosa Vargas, expert in Operational Excellence and Innovation; Jorge Abreu, specialist in Marketing and Revenue Management.

Likewise, Jesús Bastardo, expert in Business Management and Finance; Dayanara Rivera, technological analyst at the Technology and Innovation Support Center (CATI) that belongs to the National Industrial Property Office (ONAPI) and Juan Calderón, director of the Mipymes Center of INTEC.

At the end of the workshops and mentoring, participants must present their final pitch, in which they will demonstrate the validity of their business concept, profitability and sustainability, as well as other indicators to be determined by an expert jury in entrepreneurship.
