INTEC and MACROTECH sign a collaboration agreement for the development of the Biomedical career
HOLY SUNDAY- El Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo (INTEC) and Macrotech, a company specialized in providing and designing proposals for comprehensive services in the health sector, signed a collaboration agreement, which seeks to encourage and facilitate actions of an educational and scientific nature, aimed at promoting the continuous improvement of the quality of life of society and the sustained development of the country.
The agreement was signed by the INTEC rector, Julio Sánchez Mariñez, and Joaquin Toribio, founder y CEO of Macrotech.
As part of the agreement, Sánchez and Toribio agreed to support the implementation of the Learning Factory and Technology Park programs, a space where students develop solutions to the real needs of the industry.
The rector of INTEC thanked Macrotech for its support in the implementation of initiatives of an educational and scientific nature for students of the Biomedical Engineering career, in addition to carrying out an internship program for term students of various careers at the university.
Similarly, they agreed to create a concentration that will seek to integrate advanced technology and high-quality services in the health services company, in which INTEC will have the Biomedical Laboratory for the practical component that includes training.
Sánchez Maríñez recognized the development that the company has achieved since its foundation and expressed gratitude to the new allies. "How important it is for us to collaborate with companies that scale within their sector," he said.
Likewise, the general director of Macrotech expressed that it fills them with satisfaction to be able to contribute to society in the development of technical capacities focused on designing solutions to highly complex health problems, generating value differentiators.
"We are happy to contribute to the INTEC Faculty of Engineering, making our laboratory available to students for the practical component of the Biomedical Engineering degree, reinforcing our commitment to contributing to society for its sustainability," said Joaquín Toribio.
