INTEC, the only university in the ranking of the 100 best companies in the DR

SANTO DOMINGO. The Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo (INTEC) is the only university that appears in the Ranking of the 100 Companies and Leaders with the Best Corporate Reputation in the Dominican Republic 2023, made by the Spanish company Corporate Reputation Business Monitor (MERCO).

INTEC ranks number 1 in the higher education sector, and is the only educational institution that appears on the list of the 100 companies with the best reputation in the country. This assessment coincides with the first place of the university among Dominican universities, according to the QS World Ranking of universities 2024, by the prestigious British firm Quacquarelli Symonds.

Within the MERCO ranking, INTEC also appears in the position 68 of the most responsible companies and in the 73rd place of the companies with the best corporate reputation. INTEC has the highest employability rate of its graduates among national education institutions, with 98% and 100% in engineering careers, it also has the record of registered patents, with a total of 12.

Corporate Reputation Business Monitor (MERCO) is a reputational assessment instrument launched in the year 2000, based on a multistakeholder methodology that is subject to independent review by the KPMG firm, according to the ISAE 3000 standard.

The research contemplates an evaluation of 149 managers of large companies, 247 experts, consumers, the company's own channels MERCO and finally, an evaluation of merits based on the 200 main objective indicators.
