INTEC holds meetings with presidential candidates

Santo Domingo. Bill Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo (INTEC) will carry out the “INTEC Dialogues with presidential candidates 2012”, a first series of three days with the representatives of the majority political parties of the country.

The meetings with the academic community, to be held in the Sala Julio Ravelo de la Fuente, of the University Library, begin on Wednesday 8 in February with the participation of Hipólito Mejía, candidate of the Dominican Revolutionary Party (PRD). Monday 13 of February participates Max Puig, Alliance for Democracy (APD) and Wednesday 15 February, Danilo Medina, candidate of the Dominican Liberation Party (PLD).

The entrance to the Sala Ravelo will be by invitation with simultaneous transmission in the Auditorium García de la Concha, from where you can also ask questions.

"Society needs to enrich the political debate on national issues, so we wanted to bring political leaders to a first direct meeting with the university community to share their vision, with a dynamic based on questions, mainly on issues of higher education, "said Rolando M. Guzmán, Rector of INTEC.

The candidates represent the parties that obtained the most votes in the last presidential elections of 2008.
