INTEC calls for PIES 2024 Scholarships for STEM careers

SANTO DOMINGO. - The Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo (INTEC) opened this 1st. of March the applications for INTEC Program with Outstanding Students (FEET), through which outstanding students of schools and colleges from all over the country can opt for the scholarships that the university grants for take their degree level programs.
La call for PIES INTEC 2024 Scholarships will focused in the careers linked to Sciences, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM), in line with the university's strategic purposes of training the professionals that the country needs most with an updated and anticipatory offer.
In this call the careers to choose are: Biomedical engineering, Engineering in Logistics and Transport, Electric engineering, Electronic and Communications Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Bachelor in Data Science, Bachelor's degree in Mathematics with a concentration in Actuarial Sciences y Degree in biotechnology.

INTEC created the PIES Scholarship Program in 1987 as part of its social responsibility and commitment to the social transformation of the country through quality education. She was a pioneer in recognizing the talent of students who, with their efforts, have achieved high academic scores.
Since its creation 37 years ago, PIES INTEC has benefited more than 3,000 high school students from all over the country. The initiative has the support of dozens of companies, institutions and individuals.
Requirements
The first step is to complete the Admission Form at https://admisiones.intec.edu.do/ and select “Start a new application”, complete the data and send the documents indicated in the procedure before taking the Academic Aptitude Test. (PAA), for which a study guide is available online.
The documents to be sent for purification purposes are: original grade record signed and sealed by the educational center (except the last year of secondary education), a copy of the birth certificate, two 2×2 photos of the front and, in the case of the Medicine and Dentistry careers, three 2×2 photos from the front. Candidates for the INTEC PIES Scholarship must be in the last year of secondary education; If it has been completed, the interested party is allowed to participate if it does not exceed the maximum time (1) one year after leaving the educational center.
In addition, it is required to have obtained during the 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th grades of the Secondary Level (previous 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th Baccalaureate) a minimum of ninety (90) points in the average of the subjects Spanish Language, Mathematics, Sciences of Nature and Social Sciences in each cycle
