INTEC celebrates Chinese New Year

Santo Domingo. With the objective that students know and become familiar with other cultures of the world, the International Language Center of Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo (IIC-INTEC), celebrated the Chinese New Year last Friday, February 8. An activity that penetrated the Chinese culture to the university campus for a few hours.

For the Chinese, this celebration also called the Spring Festival, It is the most important in your calendar.

At the meeting the characteristics of this tradition, family customs, typical Chinese gastronomy and the particular artistic activities of this celebration were exposed. It was chaired by Migdalia Martinez, dean of the Area of ​​Social Sciences and Humanities, and Paola Hernández, Coordinator of the CII-INTEC.

The celebration of the Chinese New Year was attended by representatives of the Office of Commercial Development of the People's Republic of China in the country, as well as institutional authorities, Teachers, Mandarin students of CIII-INTEC, who are taught by Professor Zhang Jun, related and other interested people.
