CONEP and INTEC will analyze the national economic situation


Santo Domingo- With the objective of encourage and facilitate actions of character academic and scientific, aimed at promoting sustainable development and the vision of private sector on the national agenda, the National Council of Private Enterprise (CONEP) And the Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo (INTEC), signed a collaboration agreement for the celebration of the IX Business Convention.

Within the framework of this agreement, INTEC will develop a study on Economic Situation of the Dominican Republic, which will cover the macroeconomic context and the transverse axes of the economic policy y productive development.

The results of these analyzes will serve as the basis for discussions of the ninth edition of the Business Convention of CONEP, which constitutes the main exchange forum and consultation of the Dominican business, whose purpose is generate proposals of solving the issues on the national agenda that lead the Dominican Republic to greater growth and competitiveness.

In this regard, Pedro Brache, president of CONEP, said that recognizing the trajectory and experience of INTEC they feel confident in the scientific character y high level of quality of the work they will be doing together.

“From CONEP we have always tried to make important contributions for development and our intention is that the product that comes out of the Convention is in favor of improving the life of Dominicans. We are pleased to work with INTEC, ”said Brache.

As the rector of INTEC, Rolando M. Guzmán, said that through the agreement the university undertakes to support from the academic perspective, to guarantee the most successful Convention in the trajectory of CONEP.

"The current management of INTEC has transmitted the enormous importance of working with the productive and social sectors, with the conviction that academia cannot be an isolated entity, but rather a development entity, which goes beyond the training of talents," he said. Guzman.

Both entities assume this commitment that unites the private sector and the academy for the creation of discussion spaces high level with the business leadership, also developing a work agenda that will include consultations through business meetings in the regions, technical tables and an event to present the results.
