They support projects of the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Center


SANTO DOMINGO. The Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation (CEI-INTEC) received a donation from Banco Popular Dominicano to support entrepreneurship and innovation initiatives that are in the pre-incubation stage.

The contribution allows to expand the support that the CEI offers to students, graduates and professors to make their ideas of entrepreneurship projects come true: personalized consultancies in the conception and development of business ideas, elaboration of business plans, access to capital funds seed and office spaces. The pre-incubation program contemplates 24 weeks of a close accompaniment with experts.

The Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation of INTEC is the unit responsible for supporting entrepreneurs to create innovative businesses that add value to society and the economy. They promote entrepreneurship programs and trainings to create an innovative culture and make it easier for students to visualize an entrepreneurial career as an alternative to a corporate career.

One of the main supports available to students, graduates and professors of the INTEC is the accompaniment in the process of registration of intellectual property, in order to obtain invention patents, utility models or industrial design, to the projects with potential for it.

In the CEI, a Center for Technology and Innovation Support (CATI-peripheral), a service of the National Intellectual Property Office (ONAPI) that allows international searches of patents, in order that the interested parties (inventors, researchers and entrepreneurs) find updated information about their invention. 

The funds of the Banco Popular Dominicano They strengthen the pre-incubation program, which accompanies entrepreneurs in their entrepreneurial process. The support consists of:

Advice for the design of a business model and the development of a business plan.

Access to seed capital for the development of functional prototypes.

Training in specific points of business administration such as finance, legislation, intellectual property.

Intellectual Property Management.

There are currently ten projects of students and graduates in incubation stage and six projects have completed the program, among them Nanny Maid Clean y Tumarketing
