Analysts present innovations that revolutionize the stock market in the Dominican Republic

SANTO DOMINGO- The blackboard that summarizes information from stock market databases and the automatic calculator for clean investment prices in the stock market are two tools that facilitate the professional practice of experts in the Dominican capital market and that, in turn, generate Accurate data for market analysis. The information was disseminated during the Annual Congress of Economics and Business Students (CANE) of Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo (INTEC).

The panel moderated by Iván Carvajal, director of strategic planning and markets of the Dominican Republic Stock Exchange (Bvrd), had the participation of Jaime Lama, product manager of Bvrd and Manuel Pimentel, risk manager of united capital, stock market.

Both experts carried out demonstrations of the operation of the tools and the operation processes within the stock market. The dashboard and the calculator that simplified the clean price calculation processes in stock market investments, developed by Lama during the pandemic, were a great boost for Pimentel, who stated that when he accessed the calculator, he saw the "consolidation of a problem that was happening in the market, since we had three sources of calculation”.

Pyton, Power Query and Power VR were three instruments that Pimentel also pointed out as keys to data transformation in market analysis.

“If they handle any of these tools that process data, it will be very simple to connect to the sources, compile them, transform the data and have clean information that generates a real model that they can use and verify,” said Pimentel.

"We need the academy and us to unite more, because we believe that the academy is the womb where the next professionals who are going to help us make that quantum leap in increasing GDP through the capital market are cooked," said Iván Carvajal.

With the aim of disseminating knowledge and experiences of teachers to INTEC students, CANE, in its eighth edition, addressed the main trending topics in the field of Economy and Business.
