Environmental Network of Dominican Universities (RAUDO) chooses 2012-2014 directive



Santo Domingo. The Environmental Network of Dominican Universities (RAUDO) held its first election assembly where it chose its first Board of Directors that will direct the destinations of the association the next two years, 2012-2014.

The Board of Directors was formed by the Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo (INTEC) in the position of President, represented by Ing. Rosaura Pimentel. In the Vice Presidency, the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo (UASD) was selected, represented by Miledy Alberto.

The General Secretariat of the Association was obtained by the Open University for Adults (UAPA), represented by Dr. Luz Rosa Estrella. In the position of Treasurer, the Ibero-American University (UNIBE) represented by Dr. Milagros Rodríguez was selected, and the Technological Universities of Santiago (UTESA), Católica Nordestana, (UCNE), and the Technological Institute of Cibao Oriental, were chosen as members. (ITECO), represented by Cosme Bidó, Florencio de la Cruz and Ing. Jaime Acosta, respectively.

RAUDO is a non-profit association of Dominican institutions of higher education that works to achieve the sustainable development of the country, through the production and dissemination of environmental knowledge in the academic community and society in general. Its fundamental objective is to articulate the potential of higher education institutions for the dissemination of topics related to environmental sustainability from education, research and extension.

RAUDO is also made up of the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM), the Universidad Agroforestal Fernando Arturo de Meriño (UAFAM), the Universidad APEC (UNAPEC), the Universidad Católica de Santo Domingo (UCSD), the Universidad Católica Tecnológica de Barahona (UCATEBA). As well as by the Universidad Católica Tecnológica del Cibao (UCATECI), the Universidad Central del Este (UCE), the Universidad ISA, the Universidad Nacional Evangélica (UNEV) and the Universidad Nacional Pedro Henríquez Ureña (UNPHU).
