INTEC delivers first 37 certificates from the Certified Scrum Developer Program (CSD)


Santo Domingo. El Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo (INTEC) and the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology (MESCyT) delivered on Wednesday 19 of September, some 107 professionals to Dominican society, who received updated training in different diploma programs in the area of ​​software development technologies. In this same installment, the first 37 professionals certified in the SCRUM Agile Development methodology were also awarded. 

The Scrum methodology allows developing programs (softwares) in the short term (three or four months), guaranteeing their quality and allowing certified professionals to improve productivity at a sustainable rate, while reducing risks in the context of software instability.

Similarly, this technology can be applied to various areas in project management and personnel.

The programs in which the graduates were participating were: Certified SCRUM Developer (CSD), Diploma in Software Development, Diploma in Development of Applications.NET and the Diploma in Advanced Web Solutions.
Graduates have the potential to work in every company with Software Development departments.

Of the total number of graduates, 14% corresponds to the female sex and 86% to the male sex. With this delivery, INTEC seeks to contribute to the strengthening of the national software industry, with the design and execution of innovative programs with the objective of responding satisfactorily to the requirements of the sector.

The training was carried out through the National Software Scholarship Program, organized by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology (MESCyT), in coordination with the Export and Investment Center of the Dominican Republic (CEI-RD), the Foundation Santo Domingo Cybernetic Park (FPCSD) and the Cluster of Software Companies (Clustersoft) and 8 universities.

The delivery of certificates took place in the Julio Ravelo de la Fuente Room, INTEC library, and was chaired by the rector Rolando Guzmán, Carlos Cordero, dean of Engineering, and Edwin Salazar, coordinator of the Cisco Academy at the university.
