INTEC announces the first "4 G Forum" looking to the future of mobile technology
Santo Domingo. Bill Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo (INTEC) announces the holding of the first "4G Forum" with the aim of expanding knowledge about the fourth generation of cellular telephony and sharing with international experts Jose F. Otero, President Signals Telecom Group and Engelbert Reyes Cabrera, Solution Responsible for Huawei.
This forum will be held in the Julio Ravelo de la Fuente Room, of the Emilio Rodríguez Demorizi Library of INTEC, on October 12, from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm The main features of 4G will be exhibited. The international guests will present their experiences of 4G implementations in Latin America and the world, the technical aspects and the use of 4G as a tool to reduce the digital divide
International speaker José F. Otero will talk about the 4G situation in Latin America and Engelbert Reyes, from Huawei, will talk about LTE technology. In addition, there will be a panel of local Operators in which executives from the telecommunications companies will participate.
Jose F. Otero is President and founder of Signals Telecom Group, a consortium specialized in providing up-to-date information on the Latin American telecommunications sector through specialized research, consulting and the publication of Signals Telecom News, a daily news bulletin. Mr. Otero is one of the leading experts in the telecommunications industry in Latin America and the Caribbean. His experience includes working on projects related to the development of the Pay TV industry (CATV, IPTV and DTH), the implications of convergence and consolidation for the sector, viability of marketers for long distance services, MVNOs, fixed / mobile VoIP , 3G mobile services, WiMAX, LTE, network neutrality, and others.
For his part, Mr. Engelbert Reyes Cabrera is an industrial engineer from INTEC University with a postgraduate degree in Quality and Productivity from the same university and is currently pursuing a Master's Degree in Business Administration, Concentration in International Business at the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra. He has extensive professional experience in the area of telecommunications, highlighting his participation of 2001 to 2006 as an Engineer of Practices, Procedures and Quality Assurance in Claro - Codetel, Later in 2007 he moves to the Operations Center of the Claro Network, where he led improvement projects such as "Automation of Network Metrics related to Network Management" and "Improvement of Change Management". Then he moves to the area of Wireless Projects in Claro as "Project Controller". From July of the 2011 the engineer Engelbert Reyes passes to Huawei as Manager of Wireless Products.
