Professor by subject of the Engineering Sciences Area - (Biosensors - Biomaterials - Biomechanics)



Objective of the position

Plan and develop the activities of the academic process corresponding to one of the Biosensors, Biomaterials or Biomechanics subjects, for the BIOMEDICAL ENGINEERING in accordance with the INTEC Educational Model and other institutional guidelines.

Desired profile

  • Professionals who wish to share their knowledge in teaching with training in disciplines for the purposes Engineering Sciences on the table: Biomedical, Electronics, Industrial, and Mechatronics.
  • Master's degree in BIOMEDICAL ENGINEERING or mandatory purposes, preferably doctorate.
  • Experience as a teacher preferably in Higher Education.
  • At least three years of professional experience in areas related to biosensors.
  • Digital skills for the use of ICT applied to education.
  • Command of a second language preferably.
  • Communicative skills.
  • Ability to manage human relationships.

  • Offer assistance to your students, advising them so that they can improve their participation and academic performance. In particular, detect and support those students who need special assistance.
  • Support plans and projects aimed at strengthening teaching processes.
  • Participate in the training offer of the Teaching Development Unit, in diploma courses, courses, seminars, workshops, communities of practice or other activities that can contribute to increasing your competence as a teacher, as a researcher in the field of your scientific or professional specialty or as member of the INTEC academic community.
  • Offer help, advice or opinion in the preparation, review or evaluation of study plans, careers or undergraduate and graduate programs that are related to or within the area of ​​their specialty.
  • Attend the meetings of the Area to which you are assigned and participate in the committees, commissions or work groups created to study, analyze, evaluate matters related to the activities of your unit or the university in general and make recommendations.

Documents and process

  • Send an updated resume and documentary evidence of the general and specific requirements.
  • Participate in interviews and evaluations as required.
  • Authorize INTEC to validate documents and obtain professional and personal references that it deems pertinent.

Modality of contracting:  

  • Hourly contract for at least one quarter and according to the availability of subjects.
