Head of Art and Culture



Objective of the position

Develop, motivate and promote art and culture within the annual programming, impacting undergraduate and graduate students with proposals that promote the artistic, cultural, intellectual and human growth of the INTEC community.

Main function of the position
Design, coordinate, and execute artistic and cultural initiatives that promote the comprehensive development of students, coordinating the objectives of the University Life Unit with the creative, technical, and human development of official artistic groups and student clubs. This role entails leading processes that integrate cultural identity, social commitment, and innovation, generating meaningful experiences that enrich university life, strengthen the sense of belonging, and consolidate an active, diverse, and expressive student community.

Desired profile

  • Academic degree in Arts, Performing Arts, Visual Arts, Cultural Management, Social Communication, Artistic Production or related fields.
     
  • Experience in planning and executing cultural and artistic events, from concerts and exhibitions to workshops and formal, avant-garde presentations.
     
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with artists, students, and the community at large. 
     
  • A deep understanding of cultural diversity and the ability to integrate these perspectives into co-curricular arts and culture programs in higher education.
     
  • Update on ICT environments. Microsoft Office, and specialized area software.
     
  • A willingness to explore new technologies and innovative methods to promote art and culture. Integration of digital platforms to reach broader audiences and encourage online participation. 
     
  • Creativity.

Experience:

  • Previous experience in managing and coordinating artistic and cultural projects, preferably in educational, community, or university settings.
  • Participation in the direction, accompaniment, or production of artistic groups (theater, dance, music, visual arts, or other disciplines), demonstrating the ability to lead collaborative creative processes.
  • Experience in organizing cultural events (workshops, exhibitions, interventions, festivals, and artistic cycles), from conceptualization to execution and evaluation.
  • Experience working with young people and diverse communities, promoting participation, talent development, and cultural integration.
  • Mastery of digital tools and virtual platforms for the dissemination of artistic content, as well as knowledge of cultural communication, art pedagogy, and stage production, is valued.

  • Authorize INTEC to validate documents and obtain professional and personal references that it deems pertinent.

Modality of contracting:  

  • Permanent contract with full-time dedication.
