First promotion of the Institute of Specialized Studies in Banking
Representatives of different banking entities in the country obtained a certification in Banking Branch Administration, endorsed by the ABA
SANTO DOMINGO. The Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo (INTEC) graduated to the first promotion of its Institute of Specialized Studies in Banking, with 25 bank executives who obtained the Certification in Administration of Bank Branches endorsed at international level by the American Bankers Association.
The certificate delivery ceremony was held in the Julio Ravelo Room of the Library Fountain of INTEC and was headed by the Academic Vice-Rector Dr. Leandra Tapia and Mrs. Connie Laguna, Executive Director of the Center for Financial Training, attached to the American Bankers Association.
The Institute of Specialized Banking Studies of INTEC was created in November of the 2012 year through a strategic alliance with the American Bankers Association (ABA), the most prestigious association of banks in the world, with 137 years of foundation in the United States.
Among the financial institutions that were represented in the diploma are: Bank of Reserves, Bank BHD, Popular Bank, Scotiabank, Bank of Progress, Popular Association of Savings and Loans, National Association of Savings and Loans, among others.
The Banking Branch Administration Certification responds to the growing level of demand from the executive of financial institutions, providing multiple management tools that develop the strategic capacity to identify business opportunities and turn them into results through the execution of efficient action plans.
In addition to the strictly banking and financial aspects, the Certification trains its graduates in elements related to management, administration and legal structure. In this sense, the program prepares participants to improve skills and modify attitudes that enable a qualitative change in management and an integrated vision of the management of a bank branch.
The program includes specialized modules in the areas of: Building relationships with customers and retention, Effective references, change management, Sales and coaching in the bank, Time management at work, Presentation skills, AIB Law and Banking, among others.
The Institute of Specialized Studies in Banking of the INTEC is attached to the Business Area of the university, oriented to work directly with the executives of the industry to identify and meet the needs of the sector in direct communication; developing programs of very high level and academic rigor, specialized certifications, postgraduate studies, and in-house programs at the request of the institutions of the sector.
