INTEC and ISACA sign an agreement for academic collaboration and research on information technology

SANTO DOMINGO. - The Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo (INTEC) and the ISACA Santo Domingo Chapter signed an academic and research collaboration agreement on the development of specialized training and certification programs in the assurance, governance and security of information technology.
With the signing of the agreement, both institutions are committed to providing globally recognized certifications in terms of assurance and auditing, cybersecurity, governance and risks. In addition, promote research and academic and scientific publications in the area.
The announcement of the agreement was made prior to the Latin CACS 2020 Conference, an online event organized by the ISACA Santo Domingo Chapter, in which professionals from the areas of audit, cybersecurity, risks, compliance, business continuity, internal control and finance participate. of the entire region.
Among the actions that INTEC and ISACA will develop together are promoting the participation and organization of congresses or events, creation of certifications with discounts of 20% in the rates of Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC) programs, Security Manager of Certified Information System (CISM) and Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).
As well as training in Objective Control Methodology for Information Technology (COBIT), ISACA Preparation Program to obtain the certifications granted by ISACA Global in Cybersecurity and Certified Engineer in Data Privacy Solutions (CDPSE).
INTEC is the first university in the Dominican Republic, and among the first in the region, to have Cybersecurity programs, at the undergraduate, postgraduate and permanent education levels.
