INTEC will support modernization of the General Hospital of the National Police
Both institutions signed an agreement to strengthen the institutional management of the health center, through a step-by-step cooperation
SANTO DOMINGO. He Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo (INTEC) will support in the management of administration of the General Hospital of the National Police (HOSGEPOL), with the aim of contributing to its strengthening and that in the health center it can be implemented un Comprehensive Model of Technical and Administrative Management.
The strategy, which will be executed in three stages, is contained within a collaboration agreement signed by Rector of the INTEC, Rolando M. Guzmán and managing Director from National Police, Major General Nelson Peguero Paredes.
In the document it is established that in a first stage, the INTEC held un study on health services and the administrative management of HOSGEPOL and in a second stage, the university will design and implement a training plan based on the permanent education needs identified in health personnel.
Finally, in a third stage implementation, INTEC will generate a Comprehensive Technical and Administrative Management Model of HOSGEPOL, based on the diagnosis made during the first stage and the coexistence of the staff of both institutions. The university will accompany the National Police in the implementation and execution of the model.
The collaboration between INTEC and HOSGEPOL also includes the rrealization of internships and clinical rotations by students from the INTEC Health Sciences Area in the aforementioned health center, which will put its rooms and areas for internments, emergencies, consultation, operating rooms, laboratories and others at the teaching service.
INTEC and the National Police began their inter-institutional relationship in the middle of last year with the signing of a cooperation agreement that contemplates the carrying out of academic activities, dissemination of culture and extension of services, and will also allow National Police officers to pursue careers at the academy
