Dominican Chess Federation donates one hundred games to INTEC
The Dominican Chess Federation donated a hundred chess games (boards and tokens) to INTEC to promote the development of science-games among students
Santo Domingo. Since the beginning of 2012 the university promotes the development of this sport, with the celebration of the LV National Senior Men's Chess Tournament, which was dedicated to the international master Yuan Eu Liao. He has also built fixed gaming tables for student recreation and teaches Chess among the electives and has a chess group among his co-curriculars.
The donation of games was given to the rector of INTEC, Rolando M. Guzmán, by Sergio Cruz Ferreras, secretary of organization of the FDA and Braulio Ramírez, administrative director, who visited the institution at the end of November. Also present was Daniel Lara, Professor of Chess at INTEC.
"The Chess Federation recognizes the work of INTEC in the promotion of this sport that encourages the development of thought, an institution that in the 2012 organized the last National Men's Championship," said Sergio Cruz.
Rolando Guzman thanked the delivery of the props and expressed that it extends the possibilities for more people to learn chess.
