The statement was made by Violeta Lockhart, screenwriter and teacher of the Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo (INTEC), who understands that the training of scriptwriters must be comprehensive. “There must be a bit of everything, we definitely need the knowledge and the academy. Baiz assures that “we are living in a time, reinforced by the pandemic, in which more and more screenwriters are needed. The growing demand is due to the fact that there are more formats, more cuts and more and more content is required. “We have conceived mastery in an integral way, which must encompass cultural spaces and also pragmatism towards the structures required by current markets, how a script should be written, what it should carry, how the scriptwriter should consider the viewer and, in that sense , do a comprehensive training ”, understands Lacau.

Regarding the profile of the graduate, the coordinator of the master's degree said that it is open to all people who are interested regardless of their branch of study, however, they must have an affinity with writing.
The master's degree that begins in November 2021 will be taught in virtual mode, with a duration of eight quarters and a total of 64 credits. In addition, the program includes complementary workshops and will be offered as an international platform.
