SANTO DOMINGO. - The vision of health centers has changed, to be efficient and productive they must be seen as a company, and not only as a place where only the pain is removed from a patient, but as an entity where there is investment, human resources and technological.
This is how the epidemiologist Aurora Rodríguez understood it, who highlighted that health centers must be managed with a strategic framework that allows obtaining the highest profitability in a sustainable way and that translates into a higher quality of care for users.
During the discussion "Importance of management in the provision of health services" taught by teachers of the master's degree in Senior Management concentration Directorate of Health Services, the doctor said that management is not only limited to the health professional, but also must have managerial training.
“We are interested in training professionals who not only see the institution as a company, but as a service entity. The basic thing in the administration of a health service is how we manage the whole process ”.
He pondered that management requires practice, which will lead to the realization of plans and projects that will be obtained from the information and then go on to the analysis to make the corrections of place.

He stressed that this plan includes a regulatory framework, mission, vision, strategic objectives and performance indicators and an analysis of the internal and external user to make decisions.
