Welcome new students!
New students for the period August-October participated in an induction day
SANTO DOMINGO. The Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo (INTEC) welcomed the hundreds of new students who join the Intecian community from the August-October 2013 period.
By participating in the induction day, the new students had the opportunity to interact with the main academic authorities, get to know the classrooms and laboratories of the campus on guided visits, select subjects and enjoy artistic presentations.
In addition, they took the photo of their first student card and met the members of the Student Committee of their respective careers.
During the day, INTEC also welcomed the parents of the new students, for whom the conversation was organized "The role of the family in the process of transition from school to university", by Patricia Liranzo.
The event was led by the Vice-Chancellor Academician Leandra Tapia, who offered the words of welcome to the new students and urged them to join the beehive of INTEC with enthusiasm and make the most of INTEC's opportunities for the university life stage.
The induction process was organized by the Evaluation and Retention Unit through the Directorate of Enrollment Management and the Division of Student Services (DSE).
The welcoming ceremony also had the support of the Admissions, Promotion, Cocurricular, Scholarships and National Credits, Financial Aid and International Students, Student Assistance and Student Mobility staff, who together with the departments of Registration, General Services, Virtual Intec, Institutional Communication and Library make up the Permanent Team of Degree Induction.
