Create researchers at the master's level with broad competences and a solid capacity for intervention in the fields of water quality and its treatment, air quality, solid waste management, modeling of environmental systems and aspects of management, which allow it to contribute sustainable development and the solution of the complex environmental problems of the Dominican Republic.
Allow professionals interested in health and environmental issues and sustainable development to obtain a broad and current vision of the scientific principles, the technological elements and the legal-regulatory aspects involved.
Strengthen the capacity and research in the field of Sanitary and Environmental Engineering with the purpose of contributing to the development of academic institutions, governmental entities and private organizations involved in the intervention of the different environmental aspects of the Dominican Republic.
Develop applied research (degree projects) that analyze real problems related to the environment and sanitation services in the country and present proposals for their solution, in addition to contributing to improve the knowledge base on the environmental and health situation of the country.
