Objectives

The Master of Science in Geotechnical Engineering Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo Its general purpose is: To train a trained specialist for the confrontation and successful solution of various geotechnical problems, as well as for the realization of specialized research oriented to the development of this science with high scientific-technical rigor.

Admission profile

The Master's Program in Geotechnical Engineering Sciences is aimed at university professionals with previous training in engineering sciences or graduates in related careers, such as Civil, Geological, Geophysicist, Mining Mechanic Engineers; or whose titles are inserted in or linked to the field of Geology, Architecture and Construction, issued by recognized universities. This requirement is not limiting, and the entry of professionals with related careers can be evaluated after the approval of the Graduate Council of the Engineering Area, prior demonstration of the need to study the program due to professional work requirements.

    Important note

    Documents that are not in Spanish must be translated.

    Legalizations
    • Member countries of the Hague Convention: If the country of emission belongs to the Hague Convention, it must make the apostille of the documents and their translations into Spanish in the competent institution of that country.
    • Countries that do NOT belong to the Hague Convention: If the country of issue is NOT within the Hague Convention, you must legalize the documents and their Spanish translations at the Dominican Consulate / Embassy of the country where they were issued and then by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Dominican Republic.
    • If the translation is done in the Dominican Republic, it must be done by a judicial interpreter and legalized in the Attorney General Office of the Dominican Republic.
    To apply for the tariff in Dominican pesos:
    • You can submit a certificate of Permanent Residence issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MIREX) and that it shows that it is valid for 4 years or more.
    • Foreigners with Dominican parents, must deliver the original birth certificate of any of them.
