Master in Clinical Nutriology
Objectives
Food is a vital need, but when it is inadequate it is a morbid practice associated with the appearance of many chronic diseases, such as: malnutrition, cancer, hypertension, obesity, cardiovascular diseases, dyslipidemias, diabetes mellitus, among others.
Hospital malnutrition affects more than half of the patients admitted to our health centers, which translates into a higher incidence of medical and surgical complications, prolongation of hospital stay, increased hospitalization costs and a higher mortality rate . Faced with this reality, treating physicians feel impressive, due to their limited training in food and nutrition.
