It is the program that allows the active undergraduate and graduate students of INTEC, the opportunity to enrich their academic training through the development of skills that allow them to live in line with the demands of today's society.

  • About the Program

    The Mobility Program provides INTEC's active student body with the opportunity to enrich their academic training by taking part during their study program of internships and short courses, accredited or not, in a foreign institution with which we have an agreement.

    We seek to offer students a complement to their comprehensive education, fostering diverse academic scenarios that facilitate interaction and exchange of multicultural experiences, expose them to diversity and encourage the development of skills and competencies so that they can function in today's globalized world.

    It contribute to institutional strengthening, by integrating INTEC to regional and international networks, through projects within the framework of strategic collaboration agreements with other international institutions of higher education.

  • Types of Mobility

    INTEC makes the following types of mobility programs available to its students and foreign students:

    • Quarterly Periods abroad: Allows INTEC students to complete one or two quarters of their career abroad, through agreements signed with foreign universities. The studies carried out will be validated as part of your study program.
    • Summer Programs: Designed for the purpose of studying abroad for INTEC students in short periods during the summer.
    • Internship: It allows the student to apply the knowledge acquired in the labor field of their profession. It usually has academic value and is part of the student's curriculum. This can be done in a national or foreign institution.
    • Medical Rotations: They are practical in specific areas of training, carried out by medical students during their internship or practice time, in foreign universities. The internships last between 3 and 12 months.
    • Courses of Permanent Education: The permanent education courses that INTEC students can study abroad are included, through universities with which we have established agreements.

  • Process

    1. Apply with 6 months in advance. Example: if you want to leave in August you must apply in January.
    2. Prior to filling out the application for admission to the mobility program, the interested student will be informed in the Mobility Coordination about the processes that must be carried out.
    3. The student initiates the review of the universities to which he wishes to apply.
    4. You must then go to the coordination of your career to be oriented in the academic part, who in turn will give the approval and authorize in writing the subjects that will be validated or accredited from your curriculum in the INTEC to the Mobility Coordination .
    5. The Mobility Coordination requests the university of destination authorization so that the student can be accepted as an exchange student.
    6. After being accepted by the INTEC student, the Mobility Coordination will send to the destination university the documentation that is required for its purification according to the type of program and specific agreement.     7. The enrollment of the student inteciano in mobility will take shelter to the established thing in the receiving university and likewise, the student of the INTEC must realize his process of inscription according to establish it the institutional regulations.
    8. After the stay of the INTEC student at a destination university, the student must send the official grade obtained by the student to the Mobility office, who will initiate the process with the INTEC Registration Department for accreditation.

Programmes

    • The INCAE Capstone Course is a program created to optimize MBAs to their best management skills with a unique teaching of the most relevant topics in the business world. Additionally, students have the opportunity to interacting with top executives from atin America.

      The INTEC is part of the Network of Universities of Excellence and for this reason its students of the postgraduate level of business can attend this program with a scholarship of up to 50% sponsored by this Network.

      1. Educate students on the key management issues that allow them to fulfill their responsibilities with the vocation and ethics of a true leader.
      2. Develop their best management skills and abilities to face opportunities and challenging situations with an attitude of positive change.
      3. Facilitate an academic and practical experience that achieves an integrated and global vision of the region.
      4. Encourage the analysis and exchange of experiences with the academic guide and the participative methodology of INCAE.
      • The program is a synthesis of core subjects of business administration.
      • Time will be spent analyzing the economic environment.
      • On that basis a substantial portion of the course developed with the business strategy will be developed
      • There will also be classes related to the functional areas of entrepreneurship, marketing and operations.
      • There will be an emphasis on issues that have to do with leadership and teamwork.
    • The INCAE learning methodology allows interaction with the Faculty, through:

      • Classes with high participation.
      • Teamwork with participants from multiple disciplines and industries.
      • Analysis and discussion of current business cases.
      • Experiential experiences in companies.
      • Special guests.
    • The Capstone Course is created for students of Masters programs in Business Administration from universities in Latin America, the United States and Europe, with professional experience.

    • We currently offer the following dual-degree programs through our specialized two-summer program:

      Many of our Summer Global Connections (SGC) students will then complete their bachelor's degree at the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) the summer following completion of their TC3 degree.

    • For students living on campus: June 20 - all application materials including housing contract and deposit.

      For students living off campus: July 15 - all materials with a note of where you intend to live off campus

    • All students are expected to live on campus unless you are a continuing fal / spring student. Institutional coordinators have specific deadlines for submitting materials to TC3. Check with your institutional coordinator as their deadlines may differ.

    • TC3's Global Connections students transfer to world-renowned local institutions such as Cornell University, Ithaca College, SUNY Cortland, Rochester Institute of Technology, as well as other institutions throughout the United States and the world.

    • In the United Nations Model, the students represent the diplomats of the different member countries, having to be trained in subjects inherent to their culture, internal and external politics, economy and society to debate and resolve issues in the organs and committees of the UN.

      For all these reasons, this model is a top-level educational and cultural event that, in addition to fostering growth and the academic training of students, facilitates the development of skills, such as oratory, rhetoric and negotiation, which are useful for personal and professional life of those who have participated.

    • The United Nations Model helps students to be trained in techniques of persuasion, negotiation, writing and public speaking, in an environment of tolerance and respect for diversity. It also helps participants to understand that the best way to resolve conflicts is through dialogue and negotiation, without ever resorting to violence.

    • In a United Nations Model, the most important organs of the UN are represented, among which are:

    • YEP, Preparing the leaders of tomorrow.

      Organizations are increasingly aware of the need to prepare their young executives to have a management perspective based on the interrelation between the various areas that make up a company. This program (Young Executives Program - YEP), is designed to guide the training process of tomorrow's managers, building a knowledge base in functional, economic, political and social areas, catapulting the ability to understand the reality of organizations as well as the impact of people on business performance.

    • Young executives with a maximum age of 27years, who are beginning the development of their professional career or young university students who are concluding their career and require a broad and comprehensive vision that enables them to make decisions in situations that require a multidimensional perspective. The program is also aimed at young professionals with outstanding performance in a particular area, for which organizations are considering a career management plan. The program presents and exposes participants to a multidisciplinary perspective of business, taking them to situations that go beyond their areas of functional experience.

    • The participants will be exposed to interdisciplinary cases that will allow them, from the compression of time and space, to understand the organizational complexity and the need for a holistic analysis. Participants will work in groups composed of people from different countries, industries and functional areas, which will further enrich their learning experience, in addition to workshops, management simulations and real experiences.

      • Development of the ability to diagnose complex situations, generate alternative solutions, propose scenarios and define realistic action plans.

    • Nowadays there is a lot of talk about being a leader or how to exercise good leadership. Precisely this program is designed to awaken in you that desire to lead, regardless of your career or activity, or even the type of organization or company.

      This program wants you to maintain the best balance between your professional life and everything that is not work, but that has repercussions on your personal performance.

      In the coming years the levels of competence will be much higher and it is necessary that people at the head of human groups get ready on how to lead not only organizations, but most importantly: their own lives.       1. Communicate via e-mail your interest in participating as an exchange student in the INTEC to the Mobility Unit.
      2. The university of origin will present through written communication and with documents attached to the student of their institution.
      3. The Coordination of the INTEC Mobility Program will receive and refine the documents sent by the foreign university, verifying that the requirements for presentation of the candidate are met and acknowledge receipt of the same.
      4. The Coordination of the INTEC Mobility Program will send to the Dean and Career Coordinator a copy of the file of the exchange student for their knowledge and approval.
      5. The Coordination of the INTEC Mobility Program will send all the documentation of the student's admission to the Admissions Director, who will evaluate and assign the corresponding enrollment, as established in the Academic Regulations.
      6. The student's income must be based on the dates established in the INTEC Academic Calendar.

      1. Communicate via email interest in participating as an exchange student at INTEC to the Student Mobility Unit.
      2. The home university will present a written communication in addition to student's documents. Student Mobility - Admissions
      3. The Mobility Program Coordination of INTEC will receive submitted documents by the foreign university, verifying that they meet requirements of the candidate while acknowledging receipt of these.
      4. The Mobility Program Coordination of INTEC will forward to the Dean and Career Coordinator a copy of the file of the student exchange for his knowledge and approval.
      5. Mobility Program Coordination will forward all documentation of the student entry to the Admissions director, who will evaluate the corresponding registration, as set out in INTEC's Academic Regulations.
      6. The incoming student must enter according to the specified dates at INTEC's Academic Calendar.

National Interuniversity Student Mobility Program - MOVENI

  • About the program, MOVENI

    MOVENI is an academic mobility initiative for active undergraduate and graduate students of five (5) universities in the Dominican Republic: INTEC, PUCMM, Unapec, Unibe and Unphu. MOVENI includes all the academic offerings of the universities that comprise it, except special programs in other languages ​​or joint degrees with other institutions.

    The National Interuniversity Student Mobility Program, MOVENI, has been formalized through a collaboration agreement signed by the rectors of the member universities.

    Promote student mobility at the national level and promote academic cooperation among students, teachers and institutions of higher education in the country.

  • FAQs

    1. Can I apply for the program at any time?

    The selection of candidates must be done with at least one (1) academic period in advance of the start of the Program. The working dates for the application will be published.

    2. After having exhausted all the requirements to participate in the program, how do I know if I was accepted or rejected by the destination university?

    The candidates accepted for the exchange will be notified of the decision by the university of destination, through an official communication.

    3. Will the fee to pay be that of my university or the university of destination?

    Participating students will pay the tuition fee at their home university and will complete the course, or periods at the destination university.

    4. How many credits can I enroll in the destination university?

    The limit of credits to enroll per period will be determined by each university, according to its regulations.

    5. Can I participate in more than one university at the same time?

    Mobility through the Program will be allowed in one (1) institution at a time.

    6. By what regulations should I govern, by those of my university, or by those of the destination university?

    Among the prerogatives of the destination universities, the internal regulations of each of the institutions will prevail and will be applied as necessary.

    7. How will I know the qualifications I obtained in the mobility process?

    At the end of the mobility process, the destination institution will generate an official record of grades for the participating student and will send it to the university of origin in a maximum period of 15 days. The university of origin is responsible for validating the transferable credits to its students within the framework of this program.

    8. If I like the university in which I did the mobility process, can I transfer to it?

    The student who participates in the National Interuniversity Student Mobility Program, MOVENI, may not transfer to the university where he / she attended, for a minimum period of one year. The spirit of the Program is not the transfer of students from one university to another, but the participants return to their institution and there finish their studies.

  • Requirements to participate in the program

    To participate in any of the programs offered by INTEC, the student of a foreign university must present the following documents:

    1. Letter of presentation of the university of origin of the applicant signed by an official representative of his institution that accredits her / him as an active student
    2. Completed required Admission Form
    3. Physical grades record validated by the Registration Unit or corresponding academic unit of your institution
    4. Official certificate of use of the Spanish language (in case your language of origin is different)
    5. Letter of recommendation from a lecturer at her / his home university
    6. Copy of Passport (bio information page)
    7. Two Photos 3 x 4 cm
    8. Health and accident insurance that is valid in the Dominican Republic

    It should be kept in mind that there are programs that within specific agreement could require particular documents. In that sense, foreign students must comply with documents that are not specified here, but are requested by INTEC accordingly.
