  • Presentation

    Management professionals are called to develop skills and a proactive attitude towards changing their organizations, markets and even the way they interact with their societies. For this they need to have the best analytical approaches and cutting-edge tools, skills and attitudes, to optimize the quality of their decision making.

    In that sense, the graduate of the Specialty in Business Management may be the manager of gradual or disruptive changes, intervening both within his own area of ​​action and in multidisciplinary teams in companies and their value network, also developing resources and management processes of leadership and leadership, planning, organization, decision making, implementation, as well as supervision and control to generate competitiveness, innovation and entrepreneurship with social responsibility and transparency.

    The main objective is to train specialists with a solid understanding of economic theory, with the ability to carry out rigorous research as well as influence decision-making, both in the public and private sectors. This is boosted by developing skills for economic analysis, and model estimation using the most advanced tools in econometrics, computational analysis, and data science.

  • Graduate profile

    Graduates of the Master in Economic Sciences will respond in a timely manner to decision-making both in the public and private sector. In addition, depending on their specialization, they will obtain a profile applied in the analysis and evaluation of public policies or in the analysis of data and business intelligence and will have a solid background in economic theory that will allow them to successfully complete doctoral studies in the most prestigious national and international universities.

  • Concentration in Public Policies

    The concentration in Public Policies has the objective of specializing graduates in the study and analysis of the impact of public sector policies. Specifically, students will be able to research, address issues, propose reforms, and evaluate the impact of tax policy, government spending and redistribution policy, as well as specialize in issues of monetary, environmental, labor, local government policy, and analysis. of legislative reforms.
  • Concentration in Analytics and Business Intelligence

    The concentration in Business Analytics and Intelligence will be taught in coordination with the Master in Applied Statistics. The objective is to train specialists who use their knowledge to develop procedures, predictive models, statistical analysis and presentation of results and data with a focus on risk detection, make management decisions and identify business opportunities. Among the skills that are expected to be developed, the management and efficient use of large databases (Big Data) and programming in some of the most innovative tools used on the market stand out.
