An educational and fun playground for children
SANTO DOMINGO. With educational games created by themselves, the students of the subject Creativity and Innovation of Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo (INTEC) decorated the playground of the initial level of the Fray Ramón Pané school and developed a whole afternoon of training and fun activities for children.
Professor Mabel Artidiello explained that the games respond to the interest of her class to integrate aspects of creative thinking, with a strong component of social responsibility. In that sense, he explained that the idea is to convert children's leisure time into useful time and value and stressed that each of the games was made with recycled material.
Games like "up and down", "trúcamelo", "soccer field", "the worm", "corregomas" among many others will remain in the recreation area as a donation from INTEC students, and a proposal is being designed so that the children of the school assume the leadership of the space, that is to say, its administration and conservation.
To prepare the playground, the students had to present a description, scope, market study, objective, impact, justification, materials, game instructions, value of the proposal and estimated cost, which they presented to the teacher as the final project of the subject.
The activity was attended by the dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Migdalia Martínez; the director of the school Fray Ramón Pané, Sandra Jaime, teachers and students of the educational center.
