"Startup Weekend is an intensive immersion experience in business development on the web, in a creative environment of interaction with entrepreneurs and the support of experienced facilitators in the field of innovation," explained Anne Sophie Tejeda, director of the INTEC Center for Entrepreneurship. . The event has been held in hundreds of cities on all continents, mainly in the United States, Europe and Asia.
The philosophy of the meeting is "Nothing to talk about, every action" to make a company a reality. The participants have to put their hands to the work and all its potential to determine if viable ideas for "startups". Every hour counts, that's why there are teams that even sacrifice hours of sleep.
Anyone with a business idea is invited to submit it, which will receive suggestions from the participants. Teams are formed based on the best ideas and from there begins a weekend full of madness with the creation of business models, programming, designing and testing the ideas. The event culminates with the presentations of the projects to a panel of entrepreneurs who will act as judges.
