Symposium of Industrial Engineering will be about lean manufacturing


Santo Domingo. The XNUMXth Symposium on Industrial Engineering, one of the most important meetings for updating and networking for professionals in the sector and interested students, addresses this year the topic "Lean manufacturing: competitiveness through flow and value in processes".

The activity will begin with a workshop talk on Thursday November 10 in the Julio Ravelo Room of the INTEC Fountain and from Friday 11 to Sunday November 13 will be held at the Hotel Palladium, Bávaro. This year we have the participation of six speakers including Walker Sterling, José Antonio Lomba and José Luis Dechamp.

In the philosophy of "Lean Manufacturing", developed by the Japanese, emphasis is placed on five basic steps to increase productivity. It is what is known as the 5 S by their names in Japanese. The use and methodical application of these steps has been effective to increase the productivity and efficiency of the companies.

This activity is organized annually by CEII-INTEC with the aim of providing participants with a series of knowledge and experiences that can serve as tools to improve their performance in the future. It is currently recognized as the largest events produced by Dominican students.
