Seven intecianos were recognized as Outstanding Graduates


SANTO DOMINGO. - The doctors Raymundo Jiménez y Ryna Karina Then Vargas; The engineers Héctor Alberto Bretón Sánchez, Celso Manuel Pérez González, Lourdes Alejandra Aybar Díaz y Milton Welcome Hernández Olmos, and the psychologist Glorianna Cristina Montás Ponceano were recognized in the thirteenth installment of the Outstanding Alumnus Award of the Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo (INTEC).

The graduates were chosen by the jury during a Plenary Session in which the merits and career of the 34 candidates presented by society in an open process and the result of electronic voting, by its community of graduates.

In twelve deliveries, INTEC has recognized 81 graduates in the areas of Health Sciences, Social Sciences and Humanities, Engineering and Economics and Business.

In pronouncing the words of welcome of the act, the rector of INTEC, Rolando M. Guzmán, affirmed that the outstanding graduates of INTEC are diverse beings, of multiple talents and varied orientations, united however by a common trait, which is the commitment of All with institutional values. Engineering and professional swimmer, Lourdes Alejandra Aybarhe said feeling grateful for being recognized for her career in sport and for the contributions made throughout her life to inclusion. The annual election of the winners is carried out by a rigorous evaluation and selection mechanism, composed of two stages: an open application process, in which members of the university community and society, as well as organizations and groups propose to those who consider deserving Then, the applications are confirmed and evaluated, after which they are submitted to electronic voting before the community of graduates.

In a second stage, a jury chaired by the Rector and composed of executives and personalities close to the university ponders the nominations and chooses those deserving of the award. The result of the vote of the community of graduates is added as a vote to the vote of the jury.
