QS Stars recognizes INTEC's educational excellence

The university obtained 4 stars overall in the diagnosis carried out by the renowned firm Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) and the highest rating in the indicators: Teaching, Employability and Academic Development

SANTO DOMINGO. The Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo (INTEC) was recognized for having obtained a General rating de four stars en QS Stars, a diagnosis carried out by the renowned firm Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), being the first university in the Dominican Republic to be evaluated under this methodology.

The award was received by the rector of the university, Julio Sánchez Maríñez, during the international QS conference, held in Mexico last October.

“Obtaining 4 stars is a sign of the joint effort, commitment and dedication of our educational community to offer a quality learning environment and our efforts to generate impactful contributions to the development of the country,” said Sánchez Maríñez, referring to the recognition.

The QS Stars assessment is carried out by Quacquarelli Symonds, the largest higher education network in the world. This rating system is carried out through an audit process by the firm which awarded it a rating of 4/5 stars in the following categories: Teaching (5 stars); Employability of graduates (5 stars); Academic Development (5 stars) and Inclusion (4 stars).

“This achievement not only represents recognition of INTEC’s academic work, but also highlights its dedication to the comprehensive training of its students, its ability to adapt to the needs of the current labor market and its contribution to the development of the country,” added the rector.

With its participation in this diagnosis, INTEC joins dozens of leading universities around the world such as Rochester Institute of Technology, Tecnológico de Monterrey, Western University, Penn State University, among others.
