Likewise, the candidate for the Alliance for Democracy (APD) party indicated that within their government plans, a link between universities and companies is included, to improve the capacity of higher education centers, in regarding knowledge production. He also raised the need to improve spending and create a series of funds and taxes to promote higher education and employment with equity, mainly for young women.

For his part, the rector of INTEC, Rolando M. Guzmán, stressed that society needs to enrich the political debate on national issues. "It is for this reason that we wanted to bring to a first direct meeting with the university community political leaders to share their vision, with a dynamic based on questions, mainly."

The meetings with the academic community began last Wednesday, February 8 with the participation of Hipólito Mejía, from the Dominican Revolutionary Party (PRD), and will conclude on Wednesday 15, with Danilo Medina, candidate of the Dominican Liberation Party (PLD).
