President SCJ will speak at INTEC graduation
SANTO DOMINGO. - The President of the Supreme Court of Justice (SCJ) and of Council of the Judiciary, Luis Henry Molina Peñawill pronounce the order speech during the fifty-ninth graduation ceremony of the Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo (INTEC) that this will be celebrated Saturday October 12 in the Sansoucí terminal.
Molina Peña will address the 636 graduating and graduatings, in the undergraduate and graduate levels, which the university will deliver to the country during the ceremony. In his words, the magistrate judge president of the SCJ will urge the new professionals to thresh a path of success through its contributions to the country, and in the contributions of the university to society in its 47 years of history.
Molina Peña studied Law at the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo (UASD) and completed a Master's degree in Public Law, mention Constitutional Law, at the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile.
He spent a long career as a state official. He was the founding director of the National School of the Judiciary for 12 consecutive years (1998-2010); From 2012 to 2016 he was Deputy Minister of the Presidency and Executive Director of the Center for Exports and Investments of the Dominican Republic (CEI-RD), and was Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Dominican Institute of Telecommunications (Indotel). At the time of being elected as President of the SCJ, he served as president of the Board of Regents of INTEC, an organization he joined in 2011 and whose members carry out an honorary work.
Within the framework of its functions before the SCJ, He has served as Executive Director of the Commission for the Implementation of Criminal Procedure Reform (CONAEJ), and it was the First Secretary General of the Ibero-American Network of Judicial Schools (RIAEJ), created by the Summit of Presidents of Courts and Supreme Courts of Justice of Latin America.
He has contributed to the creation of networks of judicial schools in Mexico (REJEM) and the Argentine provinces (REFLEJAR), with the Euro Social Project of the European Union; and coordinated the E-justice Project: justice in the knowledge society, of the XIII Ibero-American Judicial Summit.
