He stressed that in this fifth edition it is an honor to feel the results obtained during the different versions of the award, after each year the papers presented reveal the interest of journalists in giving way to the objective that unites the different institutions in favor of the fight against gender violence, and we can identify it through the quality, content and resources used for each of the projects presented.

"This contest constitutes a stimulus for journalists who have been able to consider and express the breadth of dimensions and characteristics that violence against women has as a problem of public interest," said Lourdes Contreras, coordinator of CEG-INTEC, by pointing out different aspects of gender inequalities that translate into violence and affect the lives and health of women.

Contreras argued that the in-depth analysis of the causes and consequences of the different forms of violence, seen both in individualities and in their collective expressions, is one of the most important achievements of this award.
