For a greener INTEC

Santo Domingo. As a contribution to the conservation of the natural resources of our planet, the INTEC-Ecological team organized the past 18 of May, a "green day" in which employees and students dressed in this color, to support the recycling day of ten hours that took place in the university square.

During the activity, a group of students presented the ecological proposal "For a greener INTEC", in which the intecianos, including the rector Miguel J. Escala, put their signatures on a curtain in support of caring for the planet.

The members of INTEC-Ecológico were collecting paper from 10 in the morning until eight at night, managing to gather around 200 pounds of this material. The same, after qualifying, will be delivered to Green Love, company responsible for recycling paper.

This is one of many activities that have been carried out on the university campus to raise awareness among people and encourage them in the culture of recycling. On this occasion the activity was accompanied by murals, walls and even bathrooms decorated with posters alluding to the theme.  

Parallel to this, an exhibition of creative reuse of materials was presented, which showed the artisanal part of recycling accompanied by different videos.

The green day was an activity carried out thanks to the contribution of many, including the International Language Center of INTEC and the elective subjects of nature and human being and nature, whose students made the posters that supported the event.
