Executive Power appoints Julio Sánchez as rector of ISFODOSU

Santo Domingo.  By decree of the Executive Power, Julio Sánchez Maríñez, current vice-rector for Research and Liaison at INTEC, was appointed as rector of the Salomé Ureña Higher Teaching Institute (ISFODOSU), the instance of academic support of the Ministry of Education responsible for the training of the required teachers by the Dominican educational system. 

"This designation reflects the interest of government authorities in strengthening teacher training instances, through the leadership of a professional with demonstrated capabilities," said Rolando Guzmán, rector of INTEC, while trusting that Sánchez Maríñez's contributions will be of great value for that educational center and, through it, for the entire higher education system.

Sánchez Maríñez has been linked to INTEC in different stages, making important contributions in the academic and administrative fields; since 2008 he has held the aforementioned vice-rectory. In this role, he promoted the development of priority research lines for national development, as well as initiatives and linking programs aimed at adding value to training and positioning the institution in these aspects.

INTEC is proud of this important designation, while wishing him success in his new roles.

Opening of the selection process
The Rectory will inform in the coming days the opening of the selection process to elect the new vice-rector of Research and Liaison, in compliance with the institutional provisions.
