They propose a culture of counseling and educational quality


SANTO DOMINGO. Psychologists, counselors, directors and directors of educational centers participated in the School Orientation Seminar: Culture of Counseling and Educational Quality, organized by the Division of Student Services, through the Degree Promotion Unit.

The activity, which took place in the Osvaldo García de la Concha auditorium, had as its central theme "Academic counselling: how to help students prosper in the transition, persist and achieve student success."

DSC_1459 Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo - They propose a culture of counseling and educational qualityThe person in charge of Grade Promotion, Keila Frontier, explained that the objective of the seminar is to present the main advances in counseling and school guidance to develop processes of analysis, reflection and exchange between school counselors and related professionals, in a way that allows them to its updating and strengthening.

"INTEC seeks with this seminar to strengthen the training of the counselor, channeling their abilities, generating a comprehensive student, together with a work plan of their educational center," said Frontier.

As part of the program, the director of the Babeque Secondary School, Rosalina Perdomo de Dávalos, gave the conference "The Guidance Department as the axis of integral human development", while the INTEC Academic Counseling Coordinator, María Eugenia Guevara, directed the workshop “How to help students thrive in transition, persist and achieve student success in college”.

This is the eighth School Guidance Seminar organized by INTEC, and which in its different versions has trained hundreds of teachers and counselors on student counseling issues.
