New creative resources for learning

SANTO DOMINGO. In order to provide teachers with the necessary tools to develop their own teaching resources to support the teaching-learning process, the Center for Educational Studies of Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo (CEED-INTEC) organized a Creative Workshop on Teaching Resources.

The training, which was carried out through the Multimodal Resource Center for Learning (CREM), had the participation of 23 people: teachers from the Fray Ramón Pané School and pedagogical companions from the School-Centered Teacher Training Program (PROFE) . The facilitator is Dr. Mabel Artidiello, specialist in Philosophy and Creativity.

Isabel Vargas, CREM coordinator, explained that with the workshop “it is intended that the teachers build the basic knowledge and guidelines for the development of didactic resources, and in this way, exercise the skills and abilities that favor the learning process- teaching".

The Workshop was held over three days and some of the topics covered were: "The didactic and creative resources", "Audible materials", "Visual aids: flipchart, flannelgraph, wall newspaper, albums" and "Verbal and nonverbal language" : stories (franelógrafos), card, sequences, soups, portfolios, telephone, among others. With these themes we work on linking the teaching-learning process of the Spanish language, specifically in the process of animation to reading.

The CREM is a space for experiential, playful, scientific and innovative learning for students, teachers, directors, counselors, parents and anyone interested in learning and teaching. From the CREM flexible educational offers are designed for the management of significant learning, in person and at a distance, while having multimodal resources to support educational planning.

CREM is part of the Innovation Programs and Projects Unit, a program coordinated by Arelis Gómez. It is a Unit aimed at the creation, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and dissemination of innovation programs and projects, in collaboration with teachers, directors, researchers, specialists and organizations related to education.
