Microsoft and INTEC offer Office 365 ProPlus for free
SANTO DOMINGO.- In an act with hundreds of students, the Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo (INTEC) and Microsoft Dominicana launched the Office 365 program, where they received a conference from Mr. Federico Muller, Microsoft Technology Strategist in the country.
During the conference, students were able to appreciate the different productivity, communication and collaboration tools offered by Office 365, a platform that provides free of charge the Microsoft Office desktop suite with state-of-the-art online versions.
The professors, collaborators and students of the university will obtain access to email, to the calendar, instant messaging, calls from PC to PC, shared video conferences, Office Online, which allows visualization and editing and works via web of Word, Excel files, PowerPoint and OneNote from anywhere.
Additionally, as part of the benefit of its partnership with Microsoft, INTEC will offer Office 365 Proplus to all its students and teachers, allowing them to download and install Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote, Publisher and Access on up to five PCs or Macs. This plan also includes 1 terabyte storage in OneDrive managed by the university and students can collaborate and work as a team using Yammer and SharePoint sites.
The launch was held in the Osvaldo García de la Concha auditorium of INTEC and was attended by the dean of the Business Area, Carlos Cordero; Erick Barinas, director of Information Technology of the academy, student representatives and Messrs. Juan Luis Lozada and Federico Muller from Microsoft.
