Manuel Peña Jiménez Interim Dean of the Economy and Business Area

SANTO DOMINGO. The Rectory of Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo (INTEC) reported on the designation de Manuel de Jesus Pena Jimenez as interim dean of Area of ​​Economy and Business of the University.

Pena Jimenez substitute in the function to Armando Barrios, who was recently selected by the Board of Regents as Vice-Rector for Research and Outreach for the period 2022-2025.

Pena Jimenez es marketer and has a Master's in Management and Productivity, APEC University, and another Master of Science in Education, University of Camagüey, Cuba. Similarly, he has completed postgraduate studies in High Business Management, also from the APEC University. Currently, he works as a teacher of the Bachelor of International Business and student counselor of the INTEC Economics and Business Area and had previously served as coordinator of that career, during the 2017-2019 period.

His election is made on the basis of what is established in article 30 of Chapter X of the Regulation for the Selection and Appointment of the Dean or Dean of the Academic Area, approved by our Board of Regents, which grants the Rector the prerogative to appoint an interim dean for a maximum period of 12 months, and will be valid until the selection of a new dean of that Academic Area.
