SANTO DOMINGO. The Board of Regents of the Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo (INTEC) chose the new members of its Executive Committee for the period 2023-2024 which will be headed by the banker José Manuel Santos, in the presidency; The educator Rosalina Perdomo in the vice presidency and the businesswoman Francesca Rainieri as Secretary.

The Board of Regents is the management and legal representation body of INTEC and the administrator of its assets and, by statutory mandate, is made up mostly of university graduates.

José Manuel Santos is a graduate of postgraduate in Senior Management from INTEC, graduated in Accounting from the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo (UASD). His career spans different areas of banking for more than 40 years, an activity that he has combined with teaching in the areas of financial statement analysis, accounting and auditing.

Santos was senior vice president of Corporate Banking RED Banco BHD León. It was member of the Commercial Management Committee of BHD León and the Board of Directors of the BHD Investment Fund Administrator. Current member of the Credit Committee of Banco BHD, of the Corporate Governance Committee of AFP Siembra, of the Board of Directors of Administrator of Pension Funds Siembra and President of the Audit Committee of WorldWide Group.

He has been a member of the Board of Regents since 2015, in which he has held several functions: coordinator of the Finance and Audit Commission, coordinator of the Infrastructure Commission, in which he remains a member. Also, he is a member of the Nominations Commission of the Board of Regents.

Perdomo, the new vice president of the Board of Regents, es educator graduated from the Madre y Maestra Catholic University, with concentration on Orientation, and also has a master's degree in INTEC Psychology and Education. Serves as director of Babeque Secondary School She is a researcher on issues in the educational sector.

Perdomo was a Member of the Curricular Review Commission at the MINERD in 2016, she was a part-time Professor at INTEC and coordinator of the Guidance Area of ​​the Faculty of Sciences and Humanities of said institution, from 1985 to 1991. She is member of the Board of Regents since 2018 and is the current coordinator of the academic commission.

While the businesswoman Francesca Rainieri, ratified as Secretary of the Board of Regents, is Bachelor of Science with double degree in Finance and Entrepreneurship and with a specialty in Babson College Economics, United States.

Rainieri has been a promoter, along with her family, of the country's main tourist destination: Punta Cana. She serves as administrative vice president of the Punta Cana Group. She has been a member of the Board of Regents since 2020, and has been part of the executive committee since 2022. and is a member of the finance and fundraising commissions.
