JCE and INTEC will give an official master's degree in governance and public administration

Santo Domingo.- The Central Electoral Board (JCE) and the Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo (INTEC) signed an agreement to teach the “Official Master in Government and Public Administration” within the framework of the Institutional Reinforcement Project of Higher Education and Public Management, of the Complutense University of Madrid, Spain.

The master's degree, double degree by both institutions, will be taught with the collaboration and support of the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID).

The agreement was signed by Roberto Rosario Márquez, president of the Central Electoral Board (JCE) and Miguel J. Escala, rector of INTEC, will have a duration of two years and among its objectives is to favor the organization of talks, seminars, conferences, courses and joint diplomas of formal and non-formal education.

The rector of INTEC stressed that with the execution of this master's degree, the country can benefit in relation to its democratic development. For his part, Rosario Marquez said that with this link the JCE broadens its presence in the national higher education sector and that it will allow the growth of professionals linked to the political and economic world.

The endorsement of the Complutense University of Madrid, Spain, with experience in the area since the beginning of 1940, guarantees the high level of training of the professionals who graduate, as well as the participation of the Center for Governance Social Management (CEGES-INTEC), which will follow up on the agreement, on behalf of INTEC, for its experience in training in political management, and the National School of Electoral Training and Civil Status (EFEC).

The signing took place in the INTEC rector's lounge, Rafael Toribio, director of the Social Management Governance Center (CEGES-INTEC) and Angelica Adrian, executive director of INTEC's Inter-Institutional Relations.

In addition to President Roberto Rosario Márquez, the academic coordinator of the EFEC, José Ángel Aquino Rodríguez, a full member of the JCE, was present.
