Isidoro Santana joins INTEC as a special teacher


Santo Domingo. –The economist and former minister of the Ministry of Economy, Planning and Development, Isidoro Santana, joined the faculty of the Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo (INTEC) as Special Professor of the Area of ​​Economics and Business.

His link to INTEC is as of October 2020 and, as part of his duties, he will join the Consultative Committee of the Economy and Business Area.

As a teacher, Santana will support the coordination and conduct of meetings on economic and business issues, will participate in the Annual Business and Economics Research Congress (CANE) and will be a lecturer in undergraduate and graduate courses, as well as in other institutional events. .

Professional Profile

Isidoro Santana is an economist graduated from the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo and completed a postgraduate degree in Planning and Economic Policy in Chile.

In addition, he is a founding member of the Fundación Siglo 21, a non-governmental organization that promotes institutional reforms for social and economic development. Likewise, he is a founding member of the Civic Participation Movement of which he has been General Coordinator on two occasions.

His teaching experience includes both the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo and INTEC, among other higher education entities. He served as an expert in internal taxation and general coordinator of the Project to strengthen the tax sector for the Dominican Republic, INCAT-BID-OEA Program.
