INTEC and SAP UA consolidate strategic university alliance


SANTO DOMINGO. - The Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo (INTEC) and SAP University Alliances consolidated su strategic alliance during the celebration of the Intechnology Fair that the university carried out during the days 25 and 26 of November. The SAP University Alliances program has more than 3,500 affiliated universities and in the Dominican Republic, INTEC is the only university that has joined this academic community and that benefits Economics, Business and Engineering students, who have the opportunity to strengthen concepts that contribute to digital transformation.

The ratification of this alliance coincides with the celebration of the fiftieth anniversary of both INTEC and SAP. Being part of this alliance enables hands-on teaching using SAP technology at the university, engaging in strategic research activities and creating high-impact collaborations to educate tomorrow's leaders, and fostering close partnership with the academic community through Regional Academic Boards and educational institutions from around the world. The SAP expert is one of the most demanded profiles in the labor market and always occupies the top positions in employment rankings, as shown by the latest LinkedIn study, Jobs on the Rise 2022, recently published.

As he has stated Maria Calzada de Neumann, director of SAP University Alliances for Latin America and the Caribbean, Spain and Portugal, "the high demand for SAP professionals makes it necessary to continuously expand training offers. It is a satisfaction that a prestigious institution such as INTEC has launched SAP courses that will help its students to expand their employability options and the SAP ecosystem to find highly qualified professionals”.

The alliance ratification event, which was held in the INTEC Social Security Auditorium, was led by the engineer Arturo del Villar, Academic Vice Chancellor of INTEC, and Raiza Morales, Vice President of SAP North Latin America Region and the Caribbean.

A panel was held in which representatives of large companies and institutions commented on the uses they give to the SAP platform in their daily work, assessing the importance of university students knowing it for their effective insertion in the labor market. The panel was made up of representatives of the companies Nestlé, AWS Amazon, Banco BHD and CEMEX.
