INTEC and Miami Dade College promote AI clinics for companies
The initiative trains representatives from various productive sectors in the use of AI tools for productivity and is part of INTEC's commitment to developing the talent that the Dominican Republic needs for the industries of the future.
SANTO DOMINGO – The Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo (INTEC), in partnership with Miami Dade College (MDC) in the United States, is developing an executive training program aimed at strengthening capabilities in applied artificial intelligence among representatives of various productive sectors in the country.
The Artificial Intelligence Clinics initiative trains approximately 40 professionals and managers from sectors such as banking, telecommunications, payment processing, education, insurance, ports, and logistics in the strategic use of artificial intelligence tools to increase productivity, optimize processes, and accelerate the digital transformation of their organizations.
The program arises from agreement signed between the rector of INTECArturo Del Villar, and the president of Miami Dade College, Madeline Pumariega, during the eMerge Americas conference, held in Miami in April of this year.
The alliance with Miami Dade College, the leading institution of the National Applied AI Consortium (NAAIC) in the United States, positions INTEC as a bridge between the Dominican Republic and one of the most relevant networks for educational and technological innovation in applied artificial intelligence. Through this program, INTEC strengthens a digital skills ecosystem geared toward the industries of the future and reaffirms its commitment to training professionals capable of leading innovation, technological adaptation, and productive transformation processes in the country.
About the agreement
The agreement between INTEC and Miami Dade College includes a broader collaboration agenda focused on developing capabilities in applied artificial intelligence for faculty and students, exchanging knowledge about digital transformation, and strengthening the academic offering linked to emerging technologies.
With this alliance, INTEC continues to consolidate its internationalization strategy and its connection with leading institutions globally, promoting initiatives that contribute to the competitiveness, innovation and sustainable development of the Dominican Republic.
