Intec and Florida International University sign agreement for academic and research exchanges
El Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo (Intec) and the Herbert Wertheim School of Medicine of the International University of Florida, United States, signed a scientific and cultural cooperation agreement, which will allow medical students and professors of both academies to conduct joint research.
The agreement, signed by the executive vice president of the International University of Florida, Dr. Douglas Wartzok, and the dean of Medicine of the Intec, Dr. Raymundo Jiménez, also contemplates the establishment of a program of exchange of information, publications, seminars, audiovisual material and continued medical education.
As part of the agreement, the term students of Medicine of both institutions will benefit from exchange programs for cultural and academic activities.
Intec and Florida International University also agreed to explore joint work opportunities in research efforts aimed at facilitating goodwill initiatives between the two countries.
Both institutions will design specialized academic programs, while promoting teaching exchanges between their students and teachers.
The coordinator of the commitments contemplated in the agreement by the Intec will be the dean of Medicine, Dr. Raymundo Jiménez, and the School of Medicine of the International University of Florida, the dean of medicine, Dr. John A. Rock.
